The "Presolana Massif" is part of the Italian Alpine foothills, or Prealps, under the Municipality of Bergamo. This massif is composed by a chain of six summits, of which the highest is the "Presolana Occidentale" (2521 mt.). I took this shot from the "Rifugio Chalet dell'Aquila" on a freezing (-20°C) late February morning. Despite wearing all sort of technical winter clothing, after 20-30 minutes of shooting I eventually gave up and took shelter in the hut, where a pleasant warming breakfast was waiting right for me...
