Behind The Lens

Location

I was on my ski holidays and have chosen small village next to the highest mountain in Europe - Mont Blanc. So I wanted to fly my drone in the direction of Mont Blanc peak, and while flying noticed interesting change of colors from green to white in the pine trees under the drone.

Time

It was late afternoon and light was just perfect at that side of the mountain.

Lighting

Lighting is most important, Therefore I choose late afternoon of wait until clouds cover the sun.

Equipment

In this photo I used my drone Mavic Pro II, with Hasselblad camera attached.

Inspiration

Big mountains are usually my big inspiration, so it is the peak of Mont Blanc that was visible from my resort. I usually choose the places to stay for a week or two, where I can be very close to some beautiful mountain peaks.

Editing

I usually do a little post-processing and here I used only Lightroom with shadows up and highlights down, vibrance a little up, so very small adjustments on this photo.

In my camera bag

I normally have 2 bags - one with Mavic Pro II drone, and the other with my Nikon D750, Benro tripod , Haida square filters and circular polarizer that can be added to square filters - very nice system. I use Nikkor F4 70-200mm and Tamron 2.8 24-70mm lenses regularly.

Feedback

Just go out and fly the drone, there is so much to discover underneath at the places that are not easily reachable from the ground.
