Behind The Lens

Location

In minority groups village at Chiang dao, Chiang Mai, Thailand.

Time

Around 3-4pm at local time.

Lighting

I used speedlight with full size of umbrellas. And ceiling reflect light for matching exposure the room.

Equipment

2 speedlight. Canon eos 5d m2. 24-70 f2.8

Inspiration

I have chance to join the minority wedding ceremony. The point of that is two different ethnic groups married. Also i want to show the Palong ethics full decoration costume for wedding. It’s not easy to see normally.

Editing

First I used Lightroom and than photoshop. Goal of editing is retouch the skin tone and control brightness for clearly looks main object. Also i did not erase any objects in the frame and add something. Cos it’s documentary of the ethics life style.

In my camera bag

Camera may one or two. 24,50,85 prime lens 24-70. 14-24 zoom lens. Light equipment depends on location.

It’s not difficult skills photo. It’s simple portrait If you understand photo lighting. Just difficult to find location.
