A storybook, perfect photo of a sleepy, little village!
Superb exposure, composition, and detail, with just the right amount
of color saturation.
Congratulations on capturing such a fine image (under the circumstances) and all the many, well-deserved awards you have recieved!

Congrats, beautiful shot. I stayed in the very first cabin on the right. Your photo far exceeds mine. Absolutely beautiful!

Thanks Ann. I stayed in one of them but don’t know which. Probably on the other side because our dock open to a big view of nothing but water.

I took a about 5 frames then it started to snow, rain and hail.Equipment
Tripod, 16-35 mm Canon lens. No filterInspiration
I stayed in the village for about 4 days already and it had been raining, snowing and the wind was unbearable. So 4th night it was calm and I went out to do a few shots but they didn’t turn out well. I took a leap of faith, woke up early the next morning and dragged my roommate out. We had a good 10 minutes to do it right. By the time I set things up, I had time to do 6 shots before the weather went crappy and the traffic got busy with car lights blasting by nonstop in the bridge where I was shooting.Editing
PS to adjust exposure, sharpness and NIK to bring out a bit more texture. In my camera bag
Canon 5D Mark III, 16-35mm, 100mm, 24-105mm, 75-300mm, 15mm, 3 camera batteries, memory chips, lens cleaning cloth, tripod, remote release, batteries for everything that need batteries. Basically I have battery anxiety. I stuff an extra camera if I am out all night.Feedback
Hold your breath and don’t let anything distract you and get the shots done. My heart only started to pound again after I knew I had the shot I went out for.
