Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken next to where I live in Miami.

Time

It was taken around 10 am I believe.

Lighting

The lighting was actually tricky because she was under a fairly large tree. Also that day happy to have a solid cloud cover.

Equipment

I used My canon 80D. The shot was taken with a Tamron 70-300 lens.

Inspiration

I actually jog down the street it was taken on often. I Saw her practicing a few times prior. I walked over and asked her if she would mind if I took shots of her while she practices. It's not often you get to see someone doing that type of acrobatics outdoors.

Editing

Simple light work in lightroom. I added a preset to give it the "cinema" feel.

In my camera bag

Generally, my bag is light. I have my Canon 80D and a few lenses depending on the shoot I have for the day.

Feedback

When it comes to working with someone doing something they really like. Let them do it without you giving guidance. Like with nature/animals it's about patience and waiting for what you feel is right. Candid feels right to me, so I aim for those moments as best as I can. A glance, a pause, even a simple grin between poses.
