Looked out my window .this rainy day and saw my neighbors yard washed in these heavenly hues..so armed myself with camera,hat and umbrella..

Everything isn't painted white and blue..just 90%..

Location

this photo was taken in New York City on New Years Eve.it was a rainy night and after we had dinner went back to our room..before drawing the drapes i had noticed the rain patterns on the window.

Time

I took the photo around 8:30 at night.. with the city lights reflecting in the puddles ..and the staccato pattern on our window i figured it would make for an interesting photo.was very happy with the results...

Lighting

just the city lights reflecting with the rain.. the composition was predetermined by the existing buildings..

Equipment

I just had my my SAMSUNG GALAXY 7 phone.. at this time..

Inspiration

looking at the colors.. some muted and more very bright.. I found it is far better to take the photo....then to wish i had after the opportunity passed..

Editing

no.. it is as i saw it in my viewfinder..

In my camera bag

some years ago I started with NIKON EM..LOVED THAT WITH MY TELEPHOTO AND WIDE ANGLE LENSES.. SADLY THAT CAMERA RETIRED ITSELF ..so I have an OLYMPUS CAMEDIA and a OLYMPUS TOUGH DIGITAL CAMERA..plus my GALAXY A10 PHONE..which takes amazing photos..

just take photos at different times of day..different seasons..a calm day can produce soft , warm photos.a stormy day or night can bring dramatic and spirited visions..
