Location
This photo was taken while hiking around the National Park Teide, an environment sometimes compared to the moon or Mars (NASA even tested parts of the Marsrover here). A surreal landscape formed by various la a flows of many volcanoesTime
As Teide is the highest point of all of Spain and even the Atlantic region, and features some of the clearest skies in the world a sunset is magical here. This photo is not if the mountain but from one of the many formations found in the National Park during sunsetLighting
Sunrise and sunset are my favourite times of the day. The light makes that one perceives objects differently than during midday. This mountain is actually more brown but the sunset colours it beautifully redEquipment
Believe it or not but I took this photo with an iPhone 6, no additional lenses, or apps just the standard camera app. As I just don’t have the patience for editing, this photo is as it was taken: beautifulInspiration
The light, there is something magical when the sky slowly turns a deeper and darker blue and the sun is hiddenEditing
I don’t have the patience for editing, never have and probably never will so no post editing doneIn my camera bag
On a day that I go out to take photos, I normally have a Sony DSLR with me but lately I find myself more and more just shooting with my phone. The cameras on phones these days are pretty good, even though you have less control but as long as you have a bit of an eye for photography you can take amazing photosFeedback
Just be out there, see before you shoot. The great thing about digital photography is that you can see results immediately. Don’t be afraid to turn your camera in a different position. If you use a phone camera, and you have a phone that has the camera on the side instead of in the middle, turn it upside down for a change. Bend through your knees, don’t just point and shoot and use different settings. Experiment!
