It will come as no surprise that I love birds. For me, the best of these are the raptors. They have a certain something that is like the big cats, an air of superiority and majesty. Raptors are ever watchful, waiting for their next opportunity to hunt, secure in the knowledge that for the most part they are at the top of the food chain. This perched hunter exudes that attitude, and the fall colors set it off beautifully.
