Location
It's one of the highest points around where I live. The views from there are great, with the river going to the sea ( right where I'm standing you can see it), other mountains, the forests and a lot of towns.Time
This location is a 360º vantage point, good for sunrises and for sunsets. This time I decided to go on a fantastic sunset.Lighting
I love to take photos against the sun, colors look more vivid and contrasty, although it will produce more flares.Equipment
I use my Nikon D750 and my 16-35 f/4 lens, mounted in my tripod. Simple but effective.Inspiration
I'm not a big fan of me being photographed, but I was searching for a profile picture for my social media profiles, and this scene came to my mind.Editing
Just basic edition in Lightroom, increasing shadows, lowering highlights, a bit of contrast, a white balance adjustment.... nothing really important. In my camera bag
Apart from the D750 and the 24-70mm lens, I usually have with me a 20mm f1.8 lens and a 16-35mm f4 from Nikkor , and a little collection of filters (10 stops and 6 stops ND filters, 4 stops medium GND and 3 stops soft GND). I always have with me a little torch as I usually end shooting really close to the night and also a power bank for my phone, not a good thing to have a dying battery when you are out and alone.Feedback
I use the built-in camera intervalometer to take the photo, I set it to take a photo every 2 or 3 seconds ( I don't remember ) and I went to that rock, where I focused. After hearing the click of the camera, I knew I got it.
