"Going to the mountains is going home" - John Muir once said.
Sometimes i can emphasize this Feeling, when it's get dark in the Mountains in a clear night and everything get quiet.
The rush of thoughts calms down and left room for absolutely peacefulness and mindfulness.

Is this manipulated in some way? How did you get such bright, pinpoint stars with the ambient lighting? Fabulous!

Hey ReaZimmerman. Its manipulated in the normal way of Nightsky Photography (Brightness, Contast and so on), bit its not a composite, nothing was added or removed. The brightness of the stars are the result of Imagestacking. In this Shot i use 6 single shots to reduce noise stack them with photoshop

Location
I took this Photo while ascend to the Mount Albristhorn in Switzerland. I decided to take this shoot, because i really liked the shape of the Mountain and i anyway had to rest.Time
It was around 3 am in the morning and a cold breeze was coming from the south side of the edge. Although it was a summer night, i remember it was freezing cold at around 3°C.Lighting
In the Night there are not many light sources in the Mountains. The Light in the middle of the frame comes from the famous city Interlaken and Spiez near the Lake of Thun (another City close to this area)Equipment
I took this shot with my Canon 6D and the Sigma 35mm 1.4 mounted on a Carbontripod from Sirui.Inspiration
My plan was primary to shoot the morning sun on the Mountain top. Unfortunately i didn't reach the top on time because i rested to much and take to mich photographs on the way to it :) It was more of a lucky shoot then planed.Editing
Yes you can see just one Photo but originally there where 7. One for the Foreground include the Mountain and 6 for the Stars which i manually stacked in photoshop. After that i did some adjustments in Lightroom like the brightness and the vibration of the colors. In my camera bag
I normally carry a lot of equipment because i really like to shoot timelapses while hiking. Thats the reason my Camera equipment weights around 10kg. Thats include a carbon slider, the syrp genie system (3 step motors and some small pieces), one camera and normally three lenses (Sigma 35mm 1.4, Canon EF24mm 1.4L USM II and a Canon EF 70-200L USM II). Additional memory card, screws and a lot other small pieces so that i can pretend most failure on the trail.Feedback
Plans are good and plans are right. But if you notice you can't make it. Change your plans for the good and try something different. In some cases this could be for something better then you had imagined.
