On a dampish August Saturday, we decided to drive the hundred miles from our home town to an orchard in Fairbanks, Alaska. While I did pick apples, I spent just as much time taking pictures of the orchard, as well as the plums, apples and cherries growing on the steep, south facing slope. The apples were small, but full of flavor.
