Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken on the Kenai Peninsula in Alaska in August.

Time

It’s about 3pm there was plenty of daylight when I was there so the day was not even close to half over.

Lighting

I like the way the mountains were lit up by the warm sun. Something about the way it looked inspired me to capture the scene.

Equipment

I’m using a canon EOS 6D full frame camera with the 70-200mm f/2.8 lens for distance.

Inspiration

I love nature and this scene took my breath away. I have a philosophy never to take a photo unless I feel something. If I feel something looking at it then my audience will too!

Editing

I just used photoshop to edit exposure, contrast and colors (to bring them back to what I saw in the field)

In my camera bag

My camera a back up camera (canon 5D) a wide lens for landscape and a long lens for distance.
