Tom I would suspect he is tracking using star tracker like an Ioptron or similar. He is probably doing two shots a foreground and a two minute background and merging them.

Tom I would suspect he is tracking using star tracker like an Ioptron or similar. He is probably doing two shots a foreground and a two minute background and merging them. Also no way you would have the moon and the stars both that bright so this is certinaly two images merged.
