Behind The Lens

Location

This picture is captured in Helgoland, a German island in the North Sea. Where this gannets come every year to the same nest place to breed.

Time

It was late afternoon, in a cloudy day. 2 or 3 hours before sun set, I was sitting on one of the highest point on the small island where the gannets colony is.

Lighting

It’s a soft light made by clouds. Just natural light no need extra equipements.

Equipment

Camera: canon 5D mark II Lens: Tamron 70-300 Hand hold

Inspiration

It inspired me to observe this bird and how family is important and come before anything, and how this community of animals are living together in harmony while us humans still fighting each other with all laws and constitutions, ethics and value that we wrote. It’s something to learn from

Editing

I used slightly Photoshop for color balance, I try to give the views the most neutral and natural light and colors.
