Behind The Lens

Location

Crosscolors was one of my first photo shoots. My best friend at the time had a 1963 Oldsmobile she wanted to include in the pictures.

Time

Mid afternoon.

Lighting

It rained for almost the whole session and was pretty overcast which worked well for the colors of her car

Equipment

I used a cannon rebel t6 with a 55mm lens.

Inspiration

I wanted to capture the aesthetic of the 1960’s bright color contrasting with nature. I really wanted to convey relaxation and spark with the feet out the window.

Editing

I used Lightroom. I always use high contrast, deep shadow, etc. I like my photos to pop. I also used a focus/blur affect to draw attention to the shoes.

In my camera bag

I normally have 2 lenses, and macro attachments. I travel pretty light.

Feedback

Try and think about how you would feel cruising down a country road with you feet out the window and incorporate that into your picture. Add your own creativity, but channel your inner lazy self.
