I'd been wanting to get a shot like this for a while. I bought this umbrella a few years ago but just never had the right conditions to shoot with it. The Airbnb my wife and I stayed at in Volcano Village on the Big Island was set in what was basically the rainforest. It started raining at night with lighting and all and my patient wife stood in the rain with the umbrella for me to set up the shot. The camera is under the protection of the garage. A single flash covered with a grocery bag is behind us.
