Behind The Lens

Location

A casual encounter with a friend in the street (Madrid center), I was working and I was carrying my handheld equipment.

Time

At sunset on July 7, 2018. I was working covering the gay parade and after leaving the carriage ride I met my friend Fernández who let himself do this portrait

Lighting

Luckily that day I was wearing a hand-held photographic equipment with a very suitable modifier for portraits (beauty dish 45cm) and I used it very close to the face, letting in the light of the sunset and the clouds. With high light and low-angle shooting I got that magnifying effect.

Canon 6d 24/70 2.8, speedlite yongnuo and beauty dish

Editing

I do not use photoshop, in this case I imported Instagram photos and since the original was the camera's live jpg I used one of its known filters, something easy to make in Light Room, my principal aplication.

Mi usually bag is symple: 1 body canon 6d FF 1 27/70 2.8 canon 1 50mm 1.8 canon 1 speedlite HSS and remote trigger Memory Cards, batterys, cleaning cloth

Feedback

I'm crazy (a little), this day I wanted to make portraits of people who participated in the gay pride parade, to get all the colors I took a great modifier as a test, and well, it did not work badly. It is not a comfortable equipement, but a day is a day. A beauty dish 45cm, a FF camera, and a bright lens
