Truly awesome stuff. I could see this on an Album cover. Have you gotten any offers for your prints?

Always difficult lighting when you're taking storm photography. There are high-contrasting skies and the foreground is generally darker. When you are talking about a panorama like this, it gets even more complicated with mixed-contrasts to adjust.Equipment
We were actually on the side of the Interstate for this picture, so I just quickly grabbed my Canon and 18-55mm lens and fired away! Didn't have time for a tripod.Inspiration
Storm photography is amazing. Unlike regular nature landscapes, where you have to be much more creative, storm photography is a pit "easier" because nature leads the photoshoot. Every storm is different and every photographer will have a different vantage point of the storm, therefore each picture of the same storm is unique.Editing
The panorama had to be stitched together, I think it was about 10+ pictures. Minor clarity/saturation boosts and I use a Topaz DeNoiser to remove noise. In my camera bag
Have a 10-18mm lens, 18-55mm lens and 55-200mm lens. Have a lightning trigger, extra batteries and ND filter in there too.Feedback
I would say learn about forecasting first, because you will never have the opportunity to be in front of such a storm if you cannot forecast where they will occur! We actually offer free forecasting tutorials on our YouTube Channel :) Simply google NZP Chasers!
