Location
I took this photograph in Oregon just after we arrived at my sister in laws i was actually just standing in her driveway talking when i just had to grab my camera that was buried under a blanket or two from the trip over.Time
It was in the evening just as the sun was going down behind the trees it was so pretty i just had to get my camera out and capture the moment.Lighting
I let the sun comming through the trees and bounce off my lens creating the lens flare you see at the bottom. It was all natural light shooting straight at the sun peeking through the trees.Equipment
I used a canon xsi with the 18-55 kit lens no flash fired all natural light.Inspiration
The inspiration for this photo was just how beautiful nature in an instant can be so perfectly timesd and lined up the long grass hay swaying in the wind as the sun is slowly disappearing through the trees.Editing
I did but only minor touches i brought up the exposure and added contrast. Then i wanted it to look how it looked as of you were there so i pumped up the vibrance some and i always end with a hint of sharpness but honestly this was one of those moments that eveything was so perfectly timed the light was so rich and vibrant and it just made the shot.In my camera bag
I now have a canon 60 d with the 18-55 kit ,a 55-250 kit and then the 50 mm 1.4. And new to my bag is an apeman flash.Feedback
When you are out whether it be looking to make a picture or just enjoying the air and you see the light starting to go down. look for a spot where it meets the tree line and shoot into that sun ,let it bounce off your lens creating that pure natural lens flair. I had a clear sky with minimal clouds in about early summer.
