This minaret belonged to a small mosque, possibly in the 14th century. After the Christian conquest, it was converted to a small church called Saint Sebastian which is now in ruins except for the minaret which was converted to a small bell tower. The minaret has similarities to some remaining in the north of Africa and is divided into 3 sections, the first two of Muslim origin and the third adapted by the Christians to house a belfry. The lowest section is made of stone blocks with an ornate, Moorish horseshoe-shaped doorway on its western side with a segmented lintel. The second is of brick with two small horseshoe arched windows on both sides, above which used to be geometric designs in brick, of which only remain traces in the upper part.
