Driving home from work on afternoon, I noticed a small patch of pink dancing in the wind, surrounded by all these typical forrest like trees.

I thought it might be a cherry tree in bloom, so I pulled over and hiked into the woods to check it out .. super windy [50mph winds that day] .. and the sun setting .. I was losing light ..

on closer inspection, it seems this may be a redbud tree ..

... still very pretty though ...
