This beautifully-done photo virtually has that classic French Autochrome Lumiere "oil-painting look." Autochrome was invented by the Lumiere brothers in 1895 and used almost exclusively in the National Geographic magazines up until around 1930 when faster and more modern and natural-looking color films replaced it.
