We came across one of the wild donkeys while heading for the salt flats on Bonaire, He was wandering across the road and decided to stop and let us take his photo, The Spanish brought the donkeys with them when they wanted to colonize the island, but when they left they did not take the donkeys with them. They have gone wild after all the centuries.
