I took this photo on iced lake in Czech Republic.Time
It is hard question because we spend whole day outside, but when I saw details of photo it was 29.1.2018 at 14:27.Lighting
It was nice weather, because it was cloudy and a little cold - there was few degrees under zero, so photoshooting was really hard. The light was perfect because it was afternoot and sun was behind cloud, so light was perfect, not too sunny and not too dark.Equipment
I used NIKON D500 and it was first time when I used my (in that time) new objective NIKKOR AF-S 300mm f/2,8G VR ED-IF.Inspiration
My big love are wolves and foxes and this was my dream to make a photo of fox. It was great that she was playing or catching mice - I´m not sure what she was doing, if it was really hunting or only playing with snow. So it was big bonus on my first shooting of foxes :)Editing
There is a minimal post-processing, I crop it, because it was bigger photo and fox was on right side of photo, because she was running very fast and my reaction wasn´t that fast so I catch it on photo when she was on right part of photography and it wasn´t very nice composition. So I cut it and the I put there just a little bit higher contrast, higher exposure and lower highlights in lightroom. In my camera bag
Hmm it depends on theme which I want to shoot. I always used my Nikon D500 and sometimes when I need 2 different lenses on one action (for example dog shows and sports) I took my second reserv body Nikon D7100. I always took my lens Tamron SP 70-200mm f/2.8 Di VC USD, because for me it is best lens and very universal. If I´m going to shooting dogs in action or dog portraits I took NIkkor AF-S 300mm f/2,8G VR ED-IF and small Tamron 17-50/2,8 SP AF XR DiII LD VC. And If I go to wildlife or animal photo "hunting" I´m taking Nikkor AF-S 200-500mm f/5,6E ED VR. And this is my whole equipment :DFeedback
You must have great patience and willingness to wait. You must spend a lot of time outside and try to ask a lot of people, for example hunters, or fishermans, because they have a good overview of the shores of rivers where they catching fishes. Yes it sounds fun that I want to ask of fisherman when I want to photo shooting deers, or foxes, but yes they really have a good overview about their territory :) Oh and best think is going to zoo and take a looooot of pictures about animal whoch you want to shooting in nature, because it is chcance to find out how they react to different stimuli.
