This has a lot of history behind it. 1988, I was 17 years old, and my brother and I went swimming here. Back then we called it the beach. I was an advanced swimmer on the Swim team, I was on the city league since 5th grade and a freshman High School student on the High School swim team. So, I knew how to shallow drive. But, I hit something straight out in front of me. City of Bozeman quickly closed the beach, drug the water pulling out old vehicle and garbage. It was amazing, and then quickly posted "no diving" signs up. They covered their butts really fast. I broke my 3rd vertebra and was in traction 7 days before they could find it. 6 months in a halo. Over the years this place has changed a lot. So, it was really weird taking this picture.
