This photograph was taken during a Photographic portfolio builder workshop in Sydney, AustraliaTime
If I remember correctly this was mid morning at the back of the studio in the door wayLighting
This was taken during a Photographic portfolio builder workshop at mid morning where the sun was hitting the back of the studio. A natural light shot which provided this amazing light.Equipment
This was taken using my Sony A7rii with a 70-200mm f/2.8 GM lens, handheld. Settings: ISO 200, f/2.8 at 1/160s @198mmInspiration
This shot was just pure chance. During these workshops, sometimes we all get carried away and start to climbing over each other as we wait for our turn with the model. As I did here, with the zoom lens, I could work around anyone who was working with the model. I knew the model had closed her eyes during the shoot, however with my camera set to high speed bursts, I knew somewhere I would get an image with her eyes open, anyway so I thought. During my post workflow I came across this image and thought, wow, this is cool and different.Editing
I used ACR to converted to black and white and then used Photoshop in post to Dodge and Burn to even out the skin tones. In my camera bag
Nowadays I tend to carry around the Sony A7rii and Hasselblad H6D-50c.Feedback
It doesn't matter, if you can't see the eyes. If you like the look and feel of an image, thats your creative choice. Not everything need to be in focus either. So relax and be creative!!
