Nice image.
Sadly, when I went to photograph this before covid hit the Abbey was closed for refurbishment, so I had to be content with an image from outside the wall

Location
The photograph was taken in Whitby located on the north east coast of Yorkshire England.Time
Early evening saw a thinning of the crowds (no-one around to spoil the shot) the rain had stopped and very little wind and after 4 days of waiting for this moment the time was right.Lighting
Early evening when the sun had disappeared behind some hazy clouds but was still bright enough for the shot.Equipment
The picture was taken on a Canon eos 450D camera with a 18-55 lens attached to a Manfrotto tripod.Inspiration
This area of England is a place quite a few people have told me I must visit and I've always had a eye on Whitby Abbey and having seen fellow photographers trying to get this particular reflection I thought I'd give it a go.Editing
I generally don't do a great deal to my photos except when it comes to black and white I like my pictures to be punchy. In my camera bag
Canon 450d Canon 760D, 18-55 ....canon lens .... 50mm lens ..... 55-200 canon lens .... Manfrotto tripod... polarizing filters.. ND filters ....spare camera batteries.Feedback
The weather is a critical factor when it comes to photography in England your best laid plans usually go out the window, so be prepared to revisit the same place as often as you can and watch the weather forcast to ensure you get the shot you want.
