Behind The Lens

Location

Along the Lower Salt River in Arizona

Time

Sunset

Lighting

The dramatic clouds throughout the day allowed for some fun lightning opportunities at this location.

Equipment

This was taken with my Mobile phone

Inspiration

My Fiance and I love exploring the Lower Salt River. In this particular area, the canyon walls seem to go on forever around you. We picked a area and waited until the water was no longer reckless in order to capture the reflection of the canyon.

Editing

I enhanced the dramatic scene using Snapseed on my mobile phone. I brought out the contrast and darks.

In my camera bag

I usually care my camera and one lens, I am a very simple photographer. In this case since I did not have a wide angle lens to capture the scene, I opted to use my cellphone.

Feedback

I would say be patient. I had to wait until others left the area to allow the water to be still to capture this moment. Without patience, this picture would have not been created.
