The photo was taken late in the afternoon. In fact you can actually see the sun's golden reflection on the top of the building.Lighting
I wanted to show the details of apartments without blowing out the sky and this was kind of tricky to do with a single shot so I had to bracket the exposure.Equipment
I used a Fujifilm XT2 with a 10-24 Lens mounted on a Benro TripodInspiration
I was inspired by the symettry of the building as well as the different personalities of each apartment space. This also reminds me of movies such as Inception.Editing
My post processing involves the usual contrast and color adjustments. I want the colors to pop out a bit hence I bumped the saturation up a bit.In my camera bag
I usually carry with me one body and 2 lenses for travel photography.Feedback
It all boils down to research as well as keeping an eye for interesting patterns and perspectives when you are in an urban environment.
