Location
the photo was taken in my loft in Zürich (Switzerland) , I'm not a professinal pothographer but quite ambitious as I've spent the last 40 years enhancing my skills.Time
in the middle of a sunny afternoon and the model is avery and close friend and muse of mine , so there is a certain kind of intimacyLighting
nothing special to mention, the light from the window was just softened by the curtainEquipment
Leica monochrome and a 1.4/ 75 mm lens without tripod or flash as I try to avoid any unnecessary equipmentInspiration
I was attracted by the personality, beauty and sensuality of the model. Not always easy to capture as the muse is very spirited.Editing
Usually I try to avoid any extensive post-processing, beside some control of the light contrast. If a photo does not fit with the first shot is not worth a lenghty reworking. In my camera bag
1 Leica monochrome, one Leica M 8 (just as a back up) andthe lenses 2.0/28mm + 1.4/50 mm and a 1.4/75 mm, additionally a Fuji X 1-Pro with a 1.4/35 mm and that's it. The simply reason is that while travelling I'm trying to avoid any unnecessary bagguage and weight. Everything exceeding cabin lagguage is normally not necessary.Feedback
For portrait of people in general the "good" shot is made or taken before you use the camera, the very first moment you meet someone is essential for the result. So keep always a bright smile in eyes and be kind.
