On a location scouting tour a few days ago I passed this spot when suddenly the sun broke through the clouds illuminating this beautiful valley with its rays of warm light. I parked my car near by and found this spot with not too many distracting trees in the foreground. Sitting on the road with my legs hanging down the abyss while cars and bicycles were passing right behind my back was a fun experience. The light show from mother nature was just amazing and I constantly shot exposures to make sure I capture the best moment on camera. 24mm of focal length seemed just perfect to frame the image from left to right, however, I wanted to capture this amazing sky as well as this small farm on the bottom left-hand side of the image. So by using my 24mm TS lens, I could get the whole scenery in a frame by shifting the lens up and down and stitch it together as a vertorama.

24mm of focal length seemed just perfect to frame the image from left to right, however, I wanted to capture this amazing sky as well as this small farm on the bottom left-hand side of the image. So by using my 24mm TS lens, I could get the whole scenery in a frame by shifting the lens up and down and stitch it together as a vertical panorama.Editing
After stitching the panorama I enhanced colors and increased contrast a little bit. I also used dodge and burn to enhance a few spots in the image as for example those few houses in the bottom left corner. In my camera bag
The used 24mm TS lens from Canon is my fav lens which I almost always bring in my bag. Beside that there is a 17mm TS lens as well as my 16-35, both from Canon. If i specifically go out to shoot the stars I bring my Samyang 24mm lens which has a wide aperture of 1.4 which is very important in dark locations with no or only little moon lightFeedback
Always keep your eyes open for an amazing light situation like this. Besides find some kind of leading lines in your shot. Definitely bring a tripod which not only allows you to expose for a long time but also makes it much more easy to stitch a panorama or blend various exposures.
