Behind The Lens

Location

In the amazing territory of the Gran Sasso national park, Italy.

Time

Sunset, the sun was setting down behind the mountains.

Lighting

Golden hour is of course the best light of the day. In this occasion I underexposed my image to keep it simple. Just the disk of the sun and the profile of the mountains.

Equipment

I used a Nikon D500 and a Tamron lens.

Inspiration

Well, it is a simple image. Nothing new. Just the beauty of nature and mountains in particular. Which I am never tired to watch, feel and photograph.

Editing

Just very minor corrections in Lightroom.

In my camera bag

I usually take my pictures in nature, mainly on the mountains. So I have chosen a very light tripod, Manfrotto Be Free, a Nikon D500 and just a few lenses. A Nikkor 16-80 mm, a Tamron 10-24 wide lens, a Tamron 90mm for macro photography and a Sigma Sport 150-600 mm for wildlife. Everything suite perfectly in my F-Stop backpack.

Feedback

Just enjoy walking in nature! Many amazing scenes will appear before your eyes.
