White Rhino and calf, Nairobi National Park. Rhino skin color is generally grey. White and Black Rhino differ in the shape of mouth mainly and the nature of their feeding. White (or wide, Afrikaans) refers to the wide mouth. Whites are grazers, so found mainly in open grassland. They are also more docile than the short tempered Black Rhino and usually slightly bigger. Black Rhino have pointed mouths with a prominent upper lip. They are browsers, feeling on bushes and small trees.
