Photographed this elephant in the Okavango Delta from a mokoro (Local dugout canoe) It looked as if the elephant was a right tusked elephant and that in at some point in the past it has broken off. Many elephants visit the Delta to feed when they get older as the reeds are easier on their last set of molars. Like this elephant, they will shake the reeds after pulling them from the water to dislodge the soil from the reed roots to save their teeth from the grit.
