Location

It was taken in private woodlands in Lea Marston UK

Time

It was taken just before mid-day

Lighting

Light was very low in dark woodland I bumped the Canon 1Dx up to 1000 ISO which was adequate enough to freeze the movement of the birds

Equipment

Canon 1Dx with an L Series 200mm lens was used.

Inspiration

The subjects and the backdrop made the perfect image

Editing

A slight crop was used on the image.

In my camera bag

I try to travel as light as possible I always use two cameras both round my neck with different focal length lenses. I don't want to miss shots so the essential kit is always to hand and the bag usually just carries spare batteries, memory cards and lens cleaners. A lightweight tarpaulin is also in my gag for lying down in damp conditions or as emergency cover in heavy rain.
