Red Canyon

Red Canyon, near Lander, Wyoming. This is out of town through a Mountain Pass known as "South Pass". It is an area during the winter where the elk herds seek shelter from winter storms, the herds sometimes numbering in the hundreds and more. In the spring it is beautifully green, and then dries out during the hot, dry summer months.
