I was kneeling down looking for slow worms when i hear a huffing and hissing right in my ear, knowing what it was, I slowly moved back a little and turned steadily and Mr Adder was a few inches from my face. He was NOT impressed I was invading his territory. Normally, they are pretty shy and will scuttle off, this chap was very feisty, so rattled off a couple of shots before leaving him to calm down!

Directed by a 7 year old who knows what she wants, we had a HEAP of fun doing this. Just catching the last of the bluebells and the evening sun.

Poo parasol (COPRINUS CINEREUS) catching the sun on a winter morning.

A pair of Brassica Bugs (which are shield bugs). One of each colour variant on Chamomile.

It's a wonder I even noticed them, so tiny, barely 1cm high. Possibly Rickenella fibula as they are commonly found in moss.

Hidden in the depths of the woods, the rain had started to fall, they must have been tucked up inside away from the cold and wet. I'll call again next
