Pretty fabulous capture! Each and every raindrop highlights the light(s) and color(s0 and especially the gradations of color on every petal! Like it!

This is a beautiful example of waterdrops photography and one that I think shows both the beauty of the flower itself and what nature can do. A worthy winner in my contest well done

This image was taken in my kitchen!! I don't have the luxury of a studio....yet!Time
I was probably taken, if I remember correctly, about 3pm in the afternoon, one spring day!Lighting
The lighting was natural light coming through the window into my kitchen...a gentle spring light compared to our usual scortching, bright and stark light we have here in summertime in Spain.Equipment
I used my Nikon D5200 for this shot with the only lens I had at the time: Nikkor 55mm-300mm and a tripod and shutter release remote! I wanted the whole flower in focus, so used F16 and positioned my tripod directly above the subject to try and achieved the detail/sharpness across the whole subject. Oh, I also had a water spray gun to add the water droplets!????Inspiration
The inspiration behind this photo was my husband buying me a bunch of flowers from our local market! When I saw the beautiful pastel colours of the dahlia in the bouquet I immediately wanted to try and capture it's perfect natural symmetry and those colours. I love macro, close up photography and thought it would add some freshness and interest if the flower looked as it it had just been rained upon, so decided to get out the water spray and give it a go. I hope I achieved that!Editing
I did a small amount of post processing: slight contrast adjustment, detail and saturation. In my camera bag
I normally carry my Nikon D5200, D750 and three lenses: FX 18-25mm and 2 DX lenses: 55mm-300mm and a 18-250mm. I always have spare batteries, cleaning equipment. I don't always take a tripod; that depends on what my subject is...and my tripod's heavy!Feedback
Firstly pick a flower that has some symmetry. This gives a more balanced shot. Shoot, and shoot again, until you are happy. I didn't use glycerine to uniform my droplets, but this is an option. The black background, makes your subject pop, but obviously use your imagination and try different colours that will excentuate your subject. The most important thing is: have fun!
