Croydon has an unfortunate reputation - in 2013 it was voted the second worst place to live in the UK, ahead only of London's East End - but it has pockets of colour and charm. These tulips are presently blooming on the edge of Coombe Wood, about half a mile from the concrete eyesore at the town's hub. Lens: very plastic Nikkor 50mm f1.8 that cost about £80 on Amazon..
