Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo on my first trip to Pembrokeshire, bear in mind that I am a hobbyist and is self taught. But I have always been fascinated by old churches' architectures and their arches. I was lucky with this shot due to how the light was inside and also I've set my shots to be on the warmer side. This is not a HDR shot, which is what I have been asked.

Time

This was around 1200-1400, I guess.

Lighting

Well to be honest I was very lucky with the lighting as it had been raining a lot when I was in Pembrokeshire, but somehow on that day it had stopped and there was not many people inside.

Equipment

I rarely carry any tripod or mono-pod, anyway this was taken handheld without flash. Cameras: Canon 6D MK1 Lens: 17-40mm ef 4 L

Inspiration

I just love old buildings and their architectures and I'm very much into history and mythology.

Editing

mainly playing around with the contrast, warmth, exposure and highlights.

In my camera bag

Canon 5D MK4, canon 24-70mm ef 2.8 L (mainly), 85mm 1.8 gold ring and lets not forget the nifty fifthty. Although I'm getting more into bird and wildlife photgraphy nowadays and hence using my Tamron 150-600mm more.

Feedback

I do not follow any rules, mainly just my instinct. So I don't think one should wait for perfect weather, lighting or anything, although I would say take your time walk around and look at lines and angles throughout the building.
