I'm currently travelling the world and was really looking forward to the New Zealand night sky. It didn't disappoint. I was camped up near a beach in New Zealand with my other half and woke at 3am to get this, having planned it earlier in the day. I dragged my mrs along with me; she loved me for it.

The beach was very dark; and having seen a few wild boars earlier in the day we were pretty cautious but only came across a possom!

Still I took a number of shots throughout the morning and loved this one of the Galactic Centre rising up over the Ocean, over Auckland and between the rocks at the beach. It's a phenomenal sight.
