This spider called Maman, resides in front of the National Art Gallery in Ottawa, Canada. The title is the French word for Mother. It was sculpted by the artist Louise Bourgeois in 1999. The sculpture is among the world's largest, measuring 30 ft high and over 33 ft wide (927 x 891 x 1024 cm). It is made of bronze and stainless steel. It includes a sac containing 26 marble eggs.
