A place I grew up close to but never visited until I moved away. It is a purely awesome experience to visit and walk through these caverns formed such a long time ago by water and wind. Solitude and solace can be found here and there is just a presence in sitting and focusing in this place.

This was a random mini adventure trip my wife now, fiance at the time decided to take while in Arizona. Early in the morning, with her asleep in the passenger seat, I drove through the dark morning to get to Paige, AZ and explore Antelope Canyon.Time
By the time we got there, it was early morning, the sun had just finished rising.Lighting
It was nice just getting away and exploring through this canyon and learning about how it was formed.Equipment
For this shot I believe it was a Sony Nex 5Alpha, set to manual so I could adjust for lighting in different parts of the canyon.Inspiration
Seeing the waves and lines so finely engraved into the rock wall mesmerized me and thought I should capture this moment I was getting lost in :-)Editing
bit of editing to the contrast and levels, along with black and white processing. In my camera bag
Normally I have a tripod in my jeep, along with my gear for shooting which usually is a wide angle and a 50mm 1.4 I use on my Canon 5D Mark4Feedback
Just shoot, make mistakes and learn from them. And dont be afraid of long exposure, people seem to be afraid of long exposure a bit. But you can get good stuff, and dont over-process. Let the natural colors and beauty of your shots speak for themselves.
