Stars rose over Heavens

The night came at the Loop. I was looking for an open area where I could see the gorgeous Milky Way clearly, and the Loop had to do it. Our galaxy rose between Mt. Cannon (on the left) and Heavens Peak, seemingly appropriate with the stars in the sky. I didn’t know if the light pollution was coming from the towns adjacent to the Glacier Park International Airport in the south of the park, but it got illuminated brighter by the clouds hanging just over the mountains. It was definitely a chilly night and I had to bundle up. But it was where I wanted to be.
