Behind The Lens

Location

I took this picture at our families home in California. It was the first flower that I had planted after moving in with Mom to help her. Its a purple Osteospermum.

Time

I always like to take my pictures in the best light of that certain day. Today it was the afternoon.

Lighting

I wanted the picture to look magical, like being in a fog. I like how it came out.

Equipment

I'm not a professional by any means. I've had a Pentax since the late 70's. Dad bought it for me while in Okinawa, when my little sister was expecting... That's when I found my passion for photography. Thanks Dad :)

Inspiration

I love pretty things, and I love pretty flowers. I'm proud of my garden and have taken hundreds of pictures.

Editing

Uhh,, what does that mean? I added a slight frosty tint around it if that's what you're asking..

In my camera bag

I have a Pentax 50mm, a fisheye lens, a micro lens, and a 35mm.. I also carry a Nikon Coolpix in my pocket at all times, in case I see a great opportunity for a terrific shot ;)

Feedback

Just be you and experiment. My first try at pictures was pretty horrible. You learn as you go. Digital makes it so easy to delete the bad ones. Be creative, cause taking pictures of what you like, is supposed to be fun. Its not a job, its a passion :)
