An abandoned railcar near the California - Mexico border became a dramatic and atypical stage for an incredible dance practice. Arundathi Chakraborty performs an Odissi dance piece symbolizing an invocation Brahma, the Creator as described in the Hindu religion.

Odissi is an ancient Indian dance originating from the eastern Indian state of Odisha. This image, shot as a single exposure, is part of a series celebrating dance as an element incorporated in dramatic and unlikely places.
