The interior courtyard of the Taj Falaknuma Palace has a simply awesome old-world feel to it, complete with fountains, mirrored lawns and stone-covered walkways. The most fascinating thing I found about the courtyard is that it's *nearly* symmetrical, left-to-right, except for the stones in the path, which are clearly laid askew from the main direction of the path. In fact, I originally thought I had distorted the courtyard in my multi-image stitch to make this picture and had to go back to double check that it wasn't my fault while stitching, but sure enough: they're not strait at all. It has left me wondering "why?", as I have to believe it must have been intentional given the perfection given to the rest of the courtyard.
