This photo was taken about 200m from my front door in the Northern Cape, South Africa. I love the rainy season where we live so am constantly looking for photographic opportunities at that time. I am fortunate to have the tree so close to our house. It was taken in March 2015Time
This was taken at around 6.30pm -Lighting
The setting sun fell perfectly onto the treeEquipment
I used a Pentax K5II and my 18 - 250mm zoom lensInspiration
When I saw the light and the clouds I grabbed my camera and ran outside to take photos as I knew I would get an awesome shotEditing
All I did was enhance the saturation and lightened the grass in the foreground and probably gave it a bit of a crop. Besides that it's pretty much straight out of cameraIn my camera bag
Pentax either K5II or K7 with the Si gma 18 - 250 lens.Feedback
Watch the weather and if you're fortunate enough - get to know your surrounds which isn't always possible I know. Fortunately for me I live in nature so can pretty much tell whether we will have good lighting or not for a sunrise or sunset
