Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at a friend’s horse farm near my home. This was the first time this colt went out to pasture after being born two days prior.

Time

This photo was taken at 10:33am on a sunny day in May.

Lighting

The sun was shining casting shadows so it wasn’t the ideal setting for photographs.

Equipment

I handheld a Canon EOS Rebel T4i And shot this on f/8, 1/125 sec, ISO 200 with 55mm on Aperture Priority. You never know when the horses might decide to run.

Inspiration

This colt was just two days old and with this being his first time outside I wanted to see how he’d react. And he just stood there like a future champion. He was born to harness race and he is related to a twice World Champion.

Editing

I put this photo into my Adobe Photoshop and cropped it and lightened the shadows. They I put that photo in Lightroom and played with it some more.

In my camera bag

I carry my telephoto lense and cleaning cloths.
