Fantastic, the lines are very easy to deal with even tho they tend to all lead in different directions they bring us into the photograph. The sky is great, ISO 200 helped bring that out and once again the lines in the sky work with the rest of them. This photo has so much to offer, it is very well done!

Absolutely stunning capture, love the composition.
Such a great building too, we visited this last year whilst in Scotland for a wedding.

Well done. Like the lighting, DOF, contrast, etc. Thanks for sharing. :-)

Oh, very nice. Just an excellent perspective and handling of the night lights.

Location
at the transport museum just outside glasgow city centre. the tall ship can also be captured from the other side of the clyde so there is plenty of room for scope different angles. A little background knowledge of the tall ship http://thetallship.com/erracms/pages/thetallship.aspx?a=6Time
the shot was taken about 11/12pm at nightLighting
just natural ambient light with the help of the long exposure around 30secs if i recall correctlyEquipment
camera was a nikon d7100, lens would be the sigma 10-20mm f4-f.56 down at the 10mm end setup up on the tripodInspiration
Glasgow and the surrounding areas have so much to offer, what i like about this shot is that its been taken at night whereas if you look at alot of the photographic images of the historic areas of Glasgow all been done during daylight hours, I wanted to capture so of these in the late hours giving a completely different perspective.Editing
increased the brightness and contrast just to intensify the image, some smart sharpening, added a gausian blur layer to increase the depth of the imageIn my camera bag
usually carry the nikon d7100, 80-200mm f2.8 push pull lens, 50mm 1.8D, 18-55mm kit lens, sigma 10-20mm f4-5.6, sb900 & various filtersFeedback
patience take the time to take the shot, that's the beauty of long exposures. Normally scope the areas of interest out during daylight hours just to give me some insight/background knowledge before venturing out at night time. Make sure you wrap up warm hat and gloves or you may lose interest very quickly lol
